Dr. Judy DeTrude, PhD, LPC-S, LMFT-S
Jeanne Stalder, RN, MA, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. She received her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia in 2014 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in 1987. She is affiliated with AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors).
As a cardiac nurse she dealt with tremendous physical and emotional stress of patients with heart disease, working with families through the process of loss and bereavement and changes of life. Having worked at the Montgomery County Women’s Center in the Woodlands, Jeanne has worked with families and individuals who experienced sexual abuse, child abuse, domestic violence or other traumas that led to depression, and anxiety. She also addresses issues which include PTSD, (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), anger, child behavioral and discipline issues, marriage, divorce, relationship conflicts, and meaning/purpose of life dilemmas.
If you are struggling with challenges in your life such as depression, loneliness, anxiety and a sense of hopelessness you are not alone. Both Christian and non-Christians experience these struggles at different times in their lives. The demands and responsibilities of life can be overwhelming, leading us to addictive behavior, substance abuse, adultery and a sense of hopelessness. Regardless of our circumstances, God provides us with His power to change our thoughts, motives and actions. Jeanne utilizes cognitive-behavioral techniques and solution focused brief therapy from a Biblical and psychodynamic perspective.
