What are the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease?

• Impaired memory
• One or more of the following:
  • Inability to recognize or identify objects well known to patient
  • Inability to carry out basic motor activities
  • Difficulty planning, organizing and sequencing
  • Language difficulty

Other conditions which may cause memory deficits include Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, brain tumor or cerebrovascular disease (involving the cerebrum and the blood vessels supplying it).
