Does Divorce Mediation replace a courtroom hearing?

In the most successful mediations, the couple can come to an agreement on all issues and thus avoid a court hearing. Divorce Mediations can also be successful, even if all the issues are not resolved. those that are resolved will not have to be decided in court. There may be some issues that the parties cannot compromise or agree on and these may have to be decided by a judge.

What are the benefits to Divorce Mediation?

It is usually less expensive than hiring separate attorneys. it can be a learning tool for couples to learn compromising and problem-solving skills that can help them throughout the child-rearing years. it is usually quicker and less stressful for both parties and their children.
