Suicide
It is a common misconception that those who talk
about suicide will not have an attempt. However, research indicates
that up to 80% of those who commit suicide warn someone before the attempt. The important thing is to take some action. Talk
with the person and encourage them to get help. Remove drugs or weapons
that are accessible to the individual. Tell family members about the
seriousness of the problem. If the person is unwilling to call a hospital,
suicide hotline, physician, minister, etc., the friend or family member
needs to do it for them. Remain with the person or have others there
until help is reached. Please contact us for more information or for an appointment by calling us at 281-357-4111 or e-mailing us at info@cccctomball.com. Office Hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday appointments available from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. |
